Presentations and Demonstrations on New Advancements in Healthcare
Sherman Oaks, CA–The Valley Economic Alliance (TVEA) is presenting HealthX on Friday, September 25, 2015 at Glendale Adventist Medical Center; similar to a TED talk type event, HealthX will feature top hospitals, doctors and health professionals discussing new innovations in healthcare.
Featured presenters include Kevin Roberts, FACHE, President and CEO of Glendale Adventist Medical Center speaking on spirituality in healthcare, including discoveries and advances in this science; Michael Marvi, MD, MS and neurologist at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center discussing the treatment of stroke patients with telemedicine, and Jason Greenspan, MD and FACEP with Encino Hospital Medical Center sharing information on the future of geriatric emergency care.
“Attendees will have the opportunity to learn some of the most innovative health advancements that improve the quality of our lives,” said Kenn Phillips, President and CEO, TVEA.
Demonstrations include a sexy ballroom salsa dance performance by Marisa Hamamoto, founder and artistic director of Infinite Flow, a wheelchair dance company, and Jerry Ok from Glendale Community College will discuss the trend of 3D printing in healthcare and demonstration of 3D printing of the human cochlea.
Attendees will be able to participate in a panel discussion by live tweeting questions to each panelist after each presentation.
The agenda also includes remarks from City of Glendale Mayor Ara Najarian; Dr. Arby Nahapetian, Chief Medical Officer and Vice President of Medical Affairs and Quality at Glendale Adventist Medical Center; and Carmen Bowen, President of Concorde Career College.
HealthX will take place in Glendale Adventist Medical Center’s Main Auditorium in the East Tower. Registration and breakfast will be from 7:30am to 8:30am. Presentations and demonstrations will follow at 8:30am until 10:30am.
