The Steve Allen "Excellence in Education Awards"

The Valley Economic Alliance is pleased to announce that this year marks our tenth anniversary for hosting the Steve Allen Excellence in Education Awards ceremony. 

Each year The Valley Economic Alliance recognizes outstanding K – 12 students, Adult Education Centers, Community Colleges, 4 year institutions, and educators with the Steve Allen “Excellence in Education” Award.  Requirements to receive this recognition are, the recipient must have already received a National recognition award. 

 The “Excellence in Education” Award is named for long-time Valley resident and legendary entertainer Steve Allen, who valued learning and spent much of his later years focused on speaking and writing about the importance of education.  His son Bill Allen will be making the presentations.

 This annual award will be presented during our Board of Directors Meeting on Wednesday, May 26, 2010.  The meeting will run from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m. and will be at ITT Technical Institute, located at 12669 Encinitas Ave. Sylmar, CA 91342.
